Born in Wuhan, China and raised in New Jersey, Jessica is an artist recently graduated with a B.F.A from Cornell University. Informed by her constant state of in-betweenness (and all that entails), her often process-driven work draws from issues of identity and diaspora, ideas of duality, labor, care, language, home, and hope. She seeks to create relationships between that which already exists, to redefine, to invoke a sense of intimacy and emotional connection through often mundane processes and material that weave and build into their own narratives.
